Interior Lights not working

Post by Jjagood »

Has anyone has an issue with just the interior lights. They have all gone off on my 1983 westy, I have checked the fuses, all seem fine. Everything else is working. It's like just that circuit isn't working anymore after I trying to change one of the lights.
Any help would be gratefully received!

Use a voltmeter to check for 12V at the connector, if there is no 12V then you have probably checked the wrong fuse.
The interior courtesey light has three wires, 12V, ground and switched ground via door switch.

Ok thanks, will try that. I've checked all the fuses, just to the left of the steering wheel, none have blown. Both batteries have plenty of charge.

Try the fuses on the door post on the drivers side. They are just behind where the seat belt rests. They are the old Euro fuses. There should be two

check your coutesy lights, they may be a bit mucky on the switch side, and check your ground side of the light as well.
