slding door cover panel removal.

Post by shaky »

Hi all,

I'm doing an offside "tall" rear wheel arch repair and so need to remove the panel above that on the nearside covers the slider mechanism. I've ground off the two siezed in self tappers so the bottom is free but can't see how to free the top... Is it twist out or tapped upwards with a rubber mallet?

There is lots of info on rplacing the wheel arch on the forum but in all the pictures the panel is magically removed!

Thanks,

Paul.

They can take a bit of shifting, remove the two self tappers, then use a rubber mallet and be prepared to hit harder than you think is necessary. Hit it squarely on the lower lip.

Thanks for the replies I will get on with that tonight....

Didn't want to dive in hitting things till I knew what to hit and how hard.
