How do I remove the lower dash board/heater cover?

Does anyone know how I remove the heater cover part of the dash board?

Pull it horizontally for standard, slides off usually but yours looks different from standard

Maybe need to remove the part that the cold start handle is in first, I can't remember. But I do remember that to remove that bit, I had to lie on my back in the drivers footwell, screws going up into the lower edge of the dash. The lower heat r cover does just clip on horizontally, so just pull it towards the back

Thanks RogerT. I hate pulling on plastic when I'm not sure how it comes apart. Hoping not to get an expensive snapping noise! Cheers bud.

Remove the cold start cable J bracket then pull the heater duct while pushing the metal lip above inwards
