ok folks.
1984 (change over year, obviously!) rhd single slider
Trying to opent the slider and the rear of the door is no longer popping out. Has a spring sprung?
what should I be looking for...anyone got access to a diagram of how it should work and what I am possibley missing?

I think the spring may be in the hinge? can't see it being anywhere else.

Its a fairly decent spring, open the door and have a look, irrc the springs held in by a cotter pin

If you mean that the rear isn't unlatching fully before the spring pops it out you can flick the pin catch under the plastic cover with a screwdriver. Happened to mine and I found that the spring inside needed replacing + some grease.

Opened up DoubleOSevens early sliding today and it flew out under spring tension, all the late vans I have opened have not done this.
I know the door hinge is different but it it normal for early sliders to be more springy or are alot of the springs shot in late doors?

Yup mine's an early one, 1984, springs open very well.
Just cleaned and regreased mine and I'm now springing for England!
