Kit,

The nose bearing is a pig to get at, but no deeper than I'd go on a full £80 rebuild - obviously the part (bush and nose seal) would be extra on top, maybe £100 all in?

And you'd still have your other pump -

I could do the pair and you'd still have £50 change and two working pumps.

Rob,

Erm, the broke pistons may well have been an issue in your poor running! I don't do turbos, they are so simple but I cannot balance them after rebuild.

Thanks Reg, when I called in today they had done it so I am now £250 lighter but I will know for the future and will pass on your details, just a pity we did not discover you 3 months ago when my pump first went wrong?

Ok Reg thanks, i'll go ahead with everything as it is now and see how shes running and maybe get in touch if there are pump problems.
