I've now succesfully attached 2 body panels with Sikaflex 2component glue and i gotta say im impressed. The glue itself is very workable about an hour or so. I did use 4 pop rivets (for wheel arch) just to be sure but those were not necessary, only reason we used those because the replace arch was not bent the right way, so we forced it to shape. This is the method im going to use from now on, no more dismantling half the car in fear of fire, no more burned hands or clothes. I'll post a pic as soon as the paint has gone dry and thou shalt not even notice that the arch has been changed :)

Old arch was cut exactly on the joint that separates arch from the rest of the body. Luckily these cars are like jiggsaw puzzles so you can take off old and put new parts without messing the whole bodywork. I had to also take some metal from inside the wheel arch off, cause the rust was so hidious.

That does not look like its glued, or even replaced at all :)
