Solar panel help

I'm sold on the fixed Panle's. Have a portable one but yes it's never out when you need it. I want to put flexi Panle's to my Viking roof but firstly don't have a clue what to buy, from who, etc. The roof is already heavy to lift so I'm a little worried of extra weight too. How about instillation? Ideas and recommendations needed. What do you have and how does it work for you? Need it for heater, phones, radio, etc what watts etc
Possibly help needed to fit?

Hi, I fitted a 130w flexible solar panel to my camper roof, simples to fit as the panel had a sticky back just peeled off the paper an stuck it down , it charges 2 Bosch silver 90aHr batteries via 20ampcharge controller :
All this allows me to use fridge, radio , lighting , usb charger gizmo to charge phones, Kindle mp3 player Oh a 12v outlet linked to a AA /AAA battery charger ...
I read the posts here on solar panels then ordered a complete kit from Photonicuniverse.com the fella was very helpful all my question answered .

Installation was made easier as I already had a factory installed system , hope this helps, ask more I'll answer what I can

The extra weight isn't much with flexis. I've got these - 2x100 watt for £200 (ebay) and about to fit a third - just because I can.

My Caravelle been sat there for nearly five months through the ice and snow too and both batteries remained fully charged

Price has risen about £20 post-brexit vote but you need to decide whether the connectors should be on top or on the underneath - they seem to vary in that regard. I would suggest yours need to be on top. As for choice, they're much of a muchness to be honest. It doesn't follow that a more expensive one is better either.

What I did buy extra (not much) was a controller that will charge two batteries (dual battery) rather than just the one. This helps no end when you need to maintain two independently. I also cut off the bulky plugs that panels come with and instead ran them into a waterproof junction box. Made the whole thing much tidier.

Well just ordered them today with a double charge so I get a trickle into driver battery then all in the leisure. 140w and about 3mm thick. Let's see what happens.

Omg. So happy. Ran the battery flat yesterday (on purpose) and fully charged early doors in the shade. Money well spent. Thanks all
