T25 wont start

Post by Lazysummernights »

Hello All,

Our T25 water-cooled has just been returned with the engine running after a year off the road getting it road worthy but after cleaning down the engine compartment of the overspray, grease etc. carefully using WD40 and a cloth, but the engine now wont now start!! I've since taken off the coil and cleaned and re-fit the earth point underneath and the same on the engine but it still no luck.
Any thing I'm missing??

Might be worthwhile going a bit more in depth, does it turn over and so on, give the Gurus on here a place to start

As per ^^^^^^

Is it turning over?
Is there a spark? (spark plug inserted in one of the plug caps and rested against something metal)
Is there compression (tone of the cranking audible highs & lows)
Is there fuel (remove a fuel line) are the plugs wet?
If it isn't cranking then you have another set of scenario's
