Air intake

Post by Hughesy1982 »

Hi guys,

I have had my van some time now and when I bought it there wasn't an intake hose fitted from the Rear Pillar duct to the air box. I have been on the lookout for one for ages now as for some reason it really bugs me everytime Im in the engine bay that it's not there, does anyone know if they are available anywhere?

Failing that hose the diameter of the intake to source a flexible pipe as a replacement?

Do you need it for originality issues?
I haven't had my snorkel on for over ten years.

No issues to report

To be honest I don't need it. It runs fine without but like I say it's just annoying me that it's missing. OCD I guess

I can understand totally.
When I had my LPG fitted I was told it had to go.
So as I say on either fuel it has had no effect.

However to satisfy your disorder VW shows (autojumble) tend to throw them up at no great cost.
If you just can't wait any longer then contact NWVW he will definitely have what you seek.

I pulled mine off today as the duct box is all cracked and broken and the hoses from the exhaust to the box were hanging off.
Is it just the plastic hose you need? yours for the postage if you want it Hugh.
