Another glow plug question, sorry.

Sorry I can't find the answer anywhere, how long do the glow plugs stay on after the light goes out, mine are still showing on my volt meter for a good minuet after the engine starts, thank you.

Then you have the MK3 -T4 relays with 191911261C partnr.
They keep the glow plugs switched on for environmental reasons (less smoke with cold engine) No problems with it if you have the matching long time glow plugs.

Thanks ZsZ, if they are drawing power can I assume they are working?

We all know what assume makes....

Seriously, each plug should draw about 7 - 9 amps so in theory you could work it out.
In reality, have a feel around the plugs. If it starts and runs lumpy in cold weather with blue smoke some are down.

Sod it for 20 quid I thought I just as well replace them anyway, so I will wait and see how it starts in the morning, thanks :ok

New battery, thanks for the recommend Martin, new brush pack as advised, new glow plugs and we have lift off, thanks for all the advice.
