T25 1.6 TD Coolant flow diagram/info

Post by Bison535 »

Just bought a new Water Pump to fit to my 1990 T25 which has given me chance to ponder !?
The new thermostat has been fitted.
The pump fits over an opening on the engine block/casing (is that the Inlet? or the Outlet from the pump?)
The BIG pipe from above the thermostat connects to ONE of the big pipes going to the radiator (which I have changed)
The other two smaller connections on the Water Pump do some recirculating?

The radiator has two connections, one straight down and one at and angle! Brickwerks tells me the straight down stub is the return ( cooled water )

Its possible to connect the front radiator pipes the wrong way round!!?? SO, thats why I need to see a Flow Diagram so that I do make the right connections.

I seek the advice please of the renown 80-90 Members

Spent lots of money, gotta get it right! :ok
