Multivan Seat Q?

Hello Folks, re: the hinged buddy seat. I've got my hands on this rather fetching 'beige' seat! I'll get to that later. It's got a hinged front but it seems very difficult to close. An interference fit if you will, with the back rest in place. Am I'm doing something wrong here? (It came to me disassembled from Germany).

The back rest on yours doesnt look like it has been screwed up to the black bracket correctly, the seat base should be a push under the backrest fit. If you look on ebay.de and type in vw t3 multivan sitze, there is a grey one for sale, check out the photos .

Yeah the seat base needs a firm tug to pull it up past the lip of the backrest, then a shove to push it down.
Quite normal I'd say
