If you want soft water you can do it many ways.
easiest and possibly cheapest is mix it with lime
let it stand for a few days, and decant it off

Kev, I've just seen your post where you said that its fine to mix G12 with G13, relevant to this post also. Just thought I'd that for those that were wondering the same as me. :ok

This is pink and Halfords still sells it but it's expensive at £16 for 2 litres! I already had 6 litres of the pink stuff so this was the solution!
