Any tall folks made driving more comfortable?

I wouldn't say I'm particularly tall however I feel like a giant when sat in the drivers seat of my new T25 Leisure Drive, anyone out there have any tips to make it a little more comfortable to fit inside.

I have the chair as far back as it will go on the rails (I'm not a moron)

I am only 6 foot but I know what you mean. Has your van got a seat that rotates if so dump it it makes a lot of difference. I fitted MGF seats they are very low give a lot of support and are very comfy.

Yeah, the drivers seat does rotate which I can't see the need for as my knees are too long to sit in it when its facing the passenger seat anyway, didn't think of that, cheers pal

Taking that out will probably lower the seat by an inch which is a fair bit.

Is this easy enough to do? Ive found one video where a guy puts them in using just an allen key. Hoping its as easy as this to take one out.

At 6' 4" I can appreciate your requirement for all the space you can get.

I certainly second ditching any swivel base from under the drivers seat. Taking it out might be as easy as sliding the seat of the swivel and unbolting the swivel from the welded in runners. However, some swivels were welded onto the runners and would need careful grinding off. Check that the original body runners are still in place before you go too far.

The other thing to do is to ease open the stop tabs at the back of the body runners. Then, if your kitchen isn't too close behind, you should be able to get another inch or so or rearwards movement. An extra notch can be cut in the top of the runner to provide a lock point for the sliding action.

To go with that, you just might want to extend the gearstick by a couple of inches (adaptors are available) to avoid you hunching forward for each gear change.

In my Westy I replaced the seats with two from my Tin Top. They are taller and wider than the Westy seats and much more comfortable. Also gained some room by swapping the big steering wheel for a smaller Jetta wheel, gained much needed knee room. Lastly added the stick shift extender, so no reaching required.
