2.1 DJ idles high when hot

Hi I'm new to the forum so I apologize if this is an easy fix or has been on here lots of time and I didn't see the thread.

I have just purchased myself a 90 caravelle which runs the 2.1 DJ engine, Ive only driven it a few times but I have noticed the engine idle speed increases up to about 1800 rpm when it is hot when the engine is cold the revs are more around the normal 1000 rpm, I'm happy to investigate but I didn't know if someone would be able to point me in the right direction, it runs like a dream apart from that. any help would be appreciated thanks.

often on 2.1 DJ engines the idle control modules have failed so the plugs are plugged together and the faulty module bypassed and the idle is turned up so it will start and idle when cold and then it overrevs when hot like yours
You need to go through the idle control system and switching, air bypass valve etc.
The DJ manual is available online on SyncroSport website all the procedures for checking the ignition system are in there
