This was on a previous thread over in the general section. https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;?
The link in the thread still has it a bit cheaper than ebay. I bought x2 5ltrs of the slightly, ore expensive stuff. Not used yet but can't see a reason why it would be a problem.

Re: low cost oil
I've been trying out the 25litre Triple QX bulk oil from europarts, as I've serviced all three of our cars this year. I've been happy enough with it, and it's £35 but they sometimes do a Friday special offer, when it's £20 or thereabouts.

The right link: https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=156456" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I've used the triple qx stuff a few times all has been fine too.

Re: low cost oil
Anything other than approved is the oil manufacturer saying that they think the oil is suitable, approved means the engine manufacturer have tested the oil and it meets the specification.
If you want to stick to approved oils your choice is limited and goes against all the advice on here, the "experts" on here and the people who made the engine don't agree on this one.
