Buzzer, lights, madnesses
Hello all. I am having a bit of trouble. It all started with the buzzer of doom and flashing oil light. This seemed to sort itself only to start the other day with a flashing water temp light even though the needle said it wasn't hot. This would disappear during the journey and the full beam indicator light and oil light would be lit. Today the buzzer came back, then temp light then full beam & oil light I stopped the engine at a set of lights to shut the buzzer up and the dam thing wouldn't start without a jump. Once jumped however it started another 3 times today.
Spoke to a very helpful and knowledgeable mechanic that recommended that I clean the crowns on the terminals but reading the sticky it doesn't fall into the @not working" category
Help please.

Re: Buzzer, lights, madnesses
Definitely sounds like a bad ground - loss of grounds causes all sorts of weirdness as the electrickery tries to find a way to ground.
The high-beam light being on is probably caused by that being used as a path to ground.
As your mechanic says - try cleaning up the ground crowns.

Oldie. Have you honestly got nothing better to do than to read posts where you obviously don't have the required knowledge to answer constructively so you chat nonsense

Re: Buzzer, lights, madnesses
I have managed to just about access the crowns. There are a few terminals that look a bit oxidised but not them all.

Re: Buzzer, lights, madnesses
Not a pop and no need to hide in PM. Fool? Surely that's the point of a forum. someone requests information and if you have that information then you are there to furnish? Or are you one of these people that prowl around forums trying to make people feel stupid for not knowing as much as you on your chosen subject matter?

You poor sad creature - your diatribe is water off a duck's back. No one on a forum is ' there to furnish '.
