So to conclude.

My friend gave me an old manta bosch dizzy, which i plucked the hal sensor out form, and rebuilt my dizzy, and it started yeah!! so I bought a second hand unit for NW as recommend so thanks forum, it arrived today, fitted it and same result car runs fine, but I'm happier its with a vw unit, not messed with by my clumbsy hands.

so took her for a run and 30 mins later still working.

Thanks for the opportunity to share te experience, and thanks for the advise about 1. the HAL sensor and 2. NW Breakers.

I recall it would run for 2 hours sometimes before breaking down, so maybe be cautious for a while yet...
