New awning - advice needed

Post by Billleivers »

So we've finally decided to ditch the elderly Khyam Motordome. Any suggestions for a replacement? Needs to be decent size, robust, easy to pitch and available as a 'low' version. Being persuaded by inflatables and looking at Vango Idris and Kela but not sure which to go for. Idris is £100 cheaper and has removable ground sheet. Kela looks more robust though.
Any suggestions/ideas?

I'm in the same position, but looking at the galli, I just prefer the way it runs along side of the van rather than away from it.

I'll probably get mine from just kampers of all places, using the 10% discount code that pops up in every magazine, as the price seams to around the same where ever you go

Blimey £800.You must be loaded if you can afford to pay that much for an awning. :-)

I recently camped with someone who had the inflatable version of the awning I had and I really can't see why you'd pay so much more for it. I was only three/four minutes behind him
