Thanks for the link. I take it that the old lagging type insulation is binned and this replaces it.
I was half thinking of retaining the original lid lagging and putting the thinner cover over it to stop bits falling into the engine bay.

My old lagging was pretty much shot - bits flaking over all over the place. Whilst putting a thinner layer over the old lagging would probably suffice, a couple of thoughts to muse over - the replacement I bought has great sound-proofing and is totally fire-proof. It also looks pretty nifty, is a doddle to fit & stays in place very securely. For £25 I reckon it's money well spent.
