Unless of course you have the fuel send/return lines reversed? That would give full fuel pump pressure to the injectors (unregulated) for a short while, before there was no pressure left behind the regulator. Not sure you would get 4 seconds run though?

Ive taken the aftermarket one off, didn't make any difference...fuel hose in was on the top rail, fuel out was the middle one and the vent is blanked off....per this on RJES site...Ive even tried removing regulators to check those, same symptoms...

hoping to get some time tomorrow to look at the electrics again.

Not saying you have done this but I'm just trying to go though any faults that iv come across over the years to try and give some ideas

I'm sure in the past iv herd of someone getting the cam and injector wire around the wrong way so might be worth a double check but not sure how close they are to each other on the NA , prob put a fault code up so prob not but just trying to think of anything

If you weren't so far away I would drive to you and see if I can help but it's a fair old way down to you

have you tried another ecu
your brain must hurt with this one

Any ideas how the ecu signals the coil pack or the injectors ?

I did review the ignition hot wire B135 -7 on the ECU and that reading was as expected when ignition is on (10-13v) and then reading increases when engine running.....then back to previous reading when the engine dies.
