The MOT fail list - getting it fixed slowly.

Big lumps of metals and spanners. Including servicing and fluids.

The MOT fail list - getting it fixed slowly.

Post by Hoopy_Frood »

Since Marv failed, I have

Replaced both rear drums, shoes and one of the brake cylinders (I was going to do both, but one of the new ones started to leak as soon as it was fitted so I just went with the old one).
Replaced both front discs, wheel bearings, calipers and pads

Fitted new spark plugs and HT, leads and finally connected the lambda sensor (which I really hope fixes the emissions fail - HC was 3 times the limit!!!) I've also got a bottle of redex to put in before I get it tested again.

Replaced the windscreen washer pump

Plugged the wire back into the 'broken' fog-lamp tell tale (I'm stupid for not noticing in the the first place)

I'm just waiting on a replacement seatbelt stalk and that's everything ticked off, even a couple of small advisories.

I've missed my free retest window, but I'm hopeful I can put it in again this week.
