Think I might know the problem ,, the TPS is spring loaded , it needs to be fitted a certain way ,, you need to fit it off Center then Spring load it (twist it and you should feel the tension) before you fit the bolts that hold it in place if its not fitted this way it can cause problems :ok

Hi,

Yes I know - the voltage output needs to be a particular reading, mine is set correctly at .5v...i did alot of research on the TPS when mine was throwing the error and i replaced it.

Yes but did you fit the TPS the correct way as it needs to be sprung loaded when fitting , so you fit it off Center and twist it to create the load on the Spring then tighten the bolts , did you do it this way ?

Indeed Domino, offset to the left and turn it to the right until its reading .5v.....if that makes sense...?! It does in my head anyway...

Indeed Aidan, before engine fires when it primes, during its running and then a little after the engine has died, pressure remains constant at about 36/38 psi.....

so if power supply to ecu and ignition is there and fuel supply is there then ecu is either ceasing to exite coil pack or open the injectors or the coil pack is faulty ? or the air intake tube is collapsing ?
have you tried another ecu
your brain must hurt with this one

Its caused me loads of grief and stress to be honest, but I am not giving up....
Air intake tube is a hefty hard rubber beast, no chance of that collapsing....
Coil pack, thats interesting...the two circuits should give off a particular reading within a range.

Primary circuit - cant get a reading at all, have checked with two different circuit testers...should be .657 - 1.387 ohms and this was validated by my neighbour who is an electrician with his tester.

Secondary circuit - reading was in range

So confused, if Im getting a spark as getting ignition, does the above give me the symptoms...?!

Thanks, Richard

Silly question but have you a fuel filter fitted?

Is it starving the pump/engine?

So for him it was the:

-the wire from the ECU is on teminal block B58, pin 12 - it goes from ECU directly to the IGN switch before the main relay (to key on) Hope that helps you out."

Will check it out tomorrow, only just finished work.....I googled thew hell out of this, never came across this post you found :ok

Cheers :)

FWIW, you can't have two imobilizers working together, IMLE they will only fight each other. Aftermarket alarm/immob of any age are better off in the bin, had a few Lazerline that drove me and car owners up the wall before finally removing it. Normal service resumed immediately.

Unless of course you have the fuel send/return lines reversed? That would give full fuel pump pressure to the injectors (unregulated) for a short while, before there was no pressure left behind the regulator. Not sure you would get 4 seconds run though?
