Re: Replacing interior ply lining
Just lining My van now used paint thinners to remove the old glue as I have just painted my van so had it lying around so I thought I would give it a go and it worked like a charm

Re: Replacing interior ply lining
Ok cool, I've got some thinners so if this spray I bought doesn't work I'll break that out.
That's a nice job you've done there. What adhesive are you using? And where did you get your veltrim/carpet?

eBay http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/7m-camper-van-l ... nav=SEARCH" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The glue is very strong .This is the first time I have done this the veltrim is thinner than the stuff I took off so to Insolate it a bit more I put bubble wrap foil insolation behind the ply but to be fair the veltrim is very strong..don't forget spray both surfaces leave a few minutes then stick the veltrim on.

Re: Replacing interior ply lining
I've not read the whole thread, just thought I'd mention that I obsessed over removing the glue on my metal work, before I decided I was covering it all again so sacked it off and stuck carpet over the glue. Saved myself hours of work.
