Puddle in cab step area

I should really know this, just unsure where this puddle is coming from. In the picture you can see it running down the door from behind the panel. Just not had chance to investigate properly yet.

Just had the front window sorted and new seal so no more wet floor pans.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Has the rubber gone hard and split on your bottom scraper?

Check the plastic membrane in the door behind the door card. This is there to prevent the water that gets past the scraper from ending up in the foot well and step.

Have you got a speaker in the door card? I had to add a little hood over the speaker in the internal plastic membrane to stop a similar leak

Not that you want to hear this, but we had a leak like that when we first bought our van which turned out to be the sealant around one of the skylights in our high-top. The water was coming through a failed mastic joint, running through the roof buildup and coming down the a-pillar into the step well.

I will check the rubber on the scraper. I replaced the drivers scraper a bit ago and that side doesn't leak, however, this side gets most of the weather. Might even turn the van round to see if that makes a difference.

I don't think there is a membrane in there. Heard of these but this was a non original door and I suppose I've just accepted the membrane not being there. I will check the speaker when I remove the door card.

I obviously hope it isn't the skylight. I'm not sure it is, as you can see the water running from behind the door card but il check that A pillar anyway. I have had slight doubts about the seal around the high top near the front window so worth a nosey.

Plenty to check when I next get chance. Here's hoping its a scraper!

I know it won't solve where the source of the water is but you ought to check/clear the holes that slow the water to run out of the door cavity so that it doesn't 'back up' internally.

Replacing the scraper will not stop water getting into the door. Despite it being called a scraper seal it does not really seal at all. That is why there are drain holes in the bottom of the door! The membrane is what stops water getting onto the inside of the door card then running down on to the step.

I'll check the drain holes Cheers. Had a quick look this morning, seal seems OK but not the best. I'll be looking into replacing the membrane.
