"Here hold this while I change gear"
Hi there,
Just wondering if anybody has found or come up with an idea of how to add at least one coffee cup holder that does not involve my wife or children.
We have a bluestar at the moment and there is no where to hold a cup of coffee while driving. On our synchro we have one of these dash trays that you fix onto the top front dash but I do not want to damage the original dash that comes with the Bluster spec. So the options at the moment are 1. no coffee unless there is a front seat passenger that can hold it for you or 2. don't have a cup of coffee while driving.
But I like coffee and am determined to find a novel way of adding at least one coffee cup holder.
any help would be great, especially pictures and links.
Thanks
Chiz

There is one on eBay that holds two cups and fits in the place where your ashtray is

You know what bigherb, that might just be the answer as I have a couple of spare ones of them.
They will also fold away to avoid being trod on. Brilliant.
Thanks

I've always thought that it must be a bit awkward putting the cup back into those holders, if you've got one hand on the wheel. How do you fold down the bottom flap - or in reality, is it an easy task?shepster wrote:I've got a couple in the very same place.

I've attached two of these to the air duct below the dash, very handy

Well, I generally start off with them 'deployed' and my cup/can already in situ.
As for finding it's way back after each slurp, they're hardly a mile away are they?

Just goes to show I've never actually seen one of these in real life. For some reason, I had the impression that they snapped shut when you took the cup out, but now, thinking about it, I can see what a stupid idea that would be....shepster wrote:tforturton wrote:I've always thought that it must be a bit awkward putting the cup back into those holders, if you've got one hand on the wheel. Yep with you there. Some people just have too many other things to do while they are meant to be driving. I need a coffee cup holder to put the coffee cup into while I am driving and only really take a drink on long straights or on the motorway.
