I'm in the market for a new fuel tank for my 1990 JX caravelle which started to weep fuel during the week whilst on holiday.
Are there varying degrees of tank quality from manufacturers as we find with replacement panels or are they all much of a muchness?
I note ECP have a (never to be missed) 30% sale with 2 tanks on offer (£65 & £95 after discount). Now whilst the spec is exactly the same in the blurb if you zoom on both pictures one is the late 48mm hole and the other is the early 68mm hole. Just wondering at £65 if its worth the potential myther in the case that it's the wrong one or is crap.
Next cheapest is the boys in Honley but at least I know it's gonna fit (with persuasion).

Yeah that's kinda where I am with this. £20 difference but a potential whole world of pain and delay trying to save a few quid.
Usually get my dad to pop down to brickwerks to pickup my stuff..not sure how he'll get on with getting a fuel tank on his push bike.
