Facets are good. Beware of copies though.

Facet Posiflow 1.5-4 psi are the correct fuel pressure and the most cost effective. You also need an 8mm inlet fitting and an 6mm outlet.

The other nice thing about them is they're small and relatively inexpensive so its easy to stash a spare onboard although they seem to have an extraordinary lifespan.

Said it before, but if you do ever run dry of fuel when using an electric one, remember that it pushes fuel, it doesn't pull (suck) like a mechanical one. So when you put more fuel in after running out, you have to fill (prime) the fuel line in front of the pump or it'll be pumping nowt. Not a massive problem but important to know if you're stuck by the roadside. In practice I found I just needed to remove hose from pump inlet and point hose down until fuel emerges then quicky reconnect to pump and start it.

This is why electric pumps need to be mounted as close to tank as possible unlike mechanical ones. You can leave your old mech pump where it is with hoses removed or blanked off if you like..

just ordered a facet pump ,
when I renewed all the fuel pipes a while ago I do remember some difference in the pipe bore .sorted all this out by fitting an additional inline filter and is now running 8 mm bore pipes all the way thru . so like covkid sez its no biggie !! sorted !!!!!!!!!!! :D even sourced some cable to run the live feed and a remote earth back to the dizzy feed and clean earth . :D

Exactly what I did. Makes renewing the hose in future much easier too. I found when I got to above gearbox I need additional ties so it didn't foul anything but otherwise easy.

However, after a few days, revisit pump and check for leaks. Getting inlet/outlet to seal properly is important. If you power pump from blue wire on alternator, it is VERY wise to fit some kind of manual overide 'momentary' switch so you can at least power pump with ignition off if line needs priming/refilling. No point in me covering the fitment of a fuel pump relay as its well covered on here. I much prefer an electric pump even if it generates noise when you start up.

If the pump suddenly makes a LOT of noise when you're going along, you've run out of fuel and you'll only travel as far as whats in the float bowl - about a minutes worth at most. Not good but at least you get some kind of warning, something you don't get with a mechanical one
