Oil leak bodge - 2.0 CU 1981

Post by Bluemagicmarker »

Got a slight leak from top of the engine, crank seal? Hardly use's a lot of oil but drips onto exhaust going around bends filling cab with smoke!

Anyone just made a drip tray to fit above exhaust to deflect oil away from any hot bits?!

- i'm aware the correct answer is changing oil seal, i'm after a solution until more funds available ? : )

Maybe push rod tube seals need to be replaced. Not a big job.

Er the "crank seal" is not above the exhaust it's in the middle of the engine and there's two at either end.
Maybe a picture would help
It reads like the usual suspect, rocker gasket needs replacing or as said the pushrod tube seals.
