5-gear (DW) question

Post by lievenn »

Hi,

When my 5-gear is disconnected from the shift rod the lever is pulled out at max (between 4th and 5th gear). I have also an 3H 5-gear and this one is pulled out to the center (between 2nd and 3th gear).

Is this the normal behaviour for a DW gearbox?

Thanks!

I found the answer in a vw doc: it should be between 2nd and 3th gear.

someone has fitted the 4 speed top hat on the shaft under the spring in the reverse switch housing, if you remove this then detent will be correct again
