Replaced fuel pump, still no fuel
Help. I have a 1983 T25 , 1.9 petrol with a mechanical pump. I've just replaced it but still no fuel is getting through. I've sucked it through the feed pipe so there is definitely no blockage. Any ideas?

Yes, if by that you mean the metal rod.

Will that stop fuel getting through the pump?

Only at large throttle openings. I fitted an electric pump - has more 'oomph' than a mech one and about same price. Has to be a low-pressure one though.

They're fairly new. Is an electric pump easy to fit? I don't want to spend a fortune. Nothing is coming through my new pump.
