Where to fit the water expansion tank on a 1Y

Post by Jonnyb416 »

My van doesn't have the expansion tank so I bought one, thing is, it won't fit where I think it should if there was a 1.6 engine there.

Has anyone fitted one to their 1Y conversion?

Jon.

Loads of room in the normal place attached to the battery tray. Where are you trying to fit it?
You can see the space still available where the hoses are leading to it. (ignore the red encirclement as that was for something else) Just left in same place as the original placement for the 1.6.

If you mean the tank behind the flap, there is exactly the same amount of space as for the 1.6 engines.

Cheers for that. Yeah I mean the one behind the flap. Didn't look like it would fit but I'll double check.
