Check the pipe between the dalek cap and the topup tank, mine was blocked which led to similar problems.

It's not the pipe you suck and blow its the bit that sticks out of the blau cap. After removing it of course. :-)

Blau or even Meyle caps fine - just avoid the ones with the triangle on top unless you're stuck and have no other choice. Reasonably good rule of thumb. Plenty on ebay too to be honest.

I have in the past made the mistake of buying them from a couple of different eBay sellers, both times you could suck and blow through them.Same goes for one bought from my local auto factors.

Garage admitted getting wrong part...not genuine. They're replacing it today.....they say the vw part sucks but doesn't blow (or other way round) is that OK? ? Gonna honest vw. Not too happy with this garage really. They noticed a pipe had flattened (vacuum) but said it was 0k when the engine was running. Massively disappointed in them. Xxxxxx

Nope!!!! Today I drove about one hour......tank behind number plate is dry. Came in and cried. It's been pressure tested and I'm lost. Any ideas??? If this continues I'll have to sell......I don't work in the Winter as my work is seasonal......children's entertainer. Love and sobs xxxxxxxxx
