Hi all,
My 1986 t25 1.6d gearbox has lost 3rd gear, friend has a gearbox and linkage off a 1.6d so should be straight swap. I've bought clutch, are there any other parts I'll need? And any top tips I should bear in mind?
1.6d gearbox swap - what parts will I need?

Brake fluid for clutch slave perhaps? Depends whether you need to bleed it afterwards I suppose, I would recommend a fluid change it if it hasn't been done in the recent past too. Shouldn't need any consumables I imagine, everything is just bolt up and down.
Always worth checking the condition of the main oil seal on the engine when you're this far into a job, it's a hell of a job just to change it when it starts leaking and you'll kick yourself if it's showing signs of going and you didn't do it this time, basically the flywheel has to come off but thats as much further as you have to go. I changed mine when I converted to AFN just to be sure even though the old one wasn't bad.
