Hi all ,
can someone tell me how you tell if your alternator is 65 amp or 90 amp please

Hi mate no all i could see was a sticker with a bar code and a long serial number ?

The body on the 90 is deeper, also, if you have remnants of the original Bosch label the 90 is pink/red 65 I think is blue (if not blue definitely not pink anyway)
The 90's main positive cable is connected to the rear of the alternator via an eyelet and 8mm (13mm spanner size) threaded stud...65 amp versions can be either studded (late type) or a push on block (with large spade connectors)
The alternator belt tension bracket is dog legged to accommodate the broader body on the 90....I might be wrong but I think the 65's have a straight bracket.
