END FLOAT PLAY

Post by drjsmithwhite »

How much play should there be with shims and fly wheel removed

Seems to move quite a bit so don't wanna no spend money on shims etc if there's a deeper lying problem

Asuming you mean WBX don't force it with flywheel and shims removed, it means nothing anyway.
refit flywheel and shims then measure.

Yeah sorry 1.9dg wbx

Ok I'll get some shims and re measure

Brought the engine with a supposed rebuild but no proof and it's now questioning the quality of the rebuild if the end float play hasn't been set

Seems to move quiet a bit currently but as I say that's without shims seal or flywheel

Didn't it come with shims?
if not use the shims from your old engine then measure.

It will. It is the shims and flywheel that stop it moving too far.
