Dash light repair

Post by kit »

Hi I have given up on the intermittent dashboard illumination and with winter approaching I decided to get the Brickwerks replacement lamp holders, does anyone know where the best place to take the feed from would be I was thinking the dimmer switch on the headlamp switch? Thanks.

Sods law just after I made up all the connectors I unplugged the main connector to try and see which wire was the feed, plugged it back again and voila dash lights returned.

Mine are a DIY LED mod and come on regardless if the sidelights are on or not. I found this helps no end if you go through a tunnel or under dark trees and as the LED life span is so great, why not. Just have them come on with the ignition. Way simpler. 10mm LEDs are almost an exact fit in the dashlight pods above the clocks.
