Electrolux RM212F

Post by ady »

Having just bought an '89 Autohomes Kameo, everything behaves as expected apart from the fridge. It works brilliantly on mains and battery but not functioning correctly on gas. I have cleaned all wires and connectors and the rear on the little red ignitor switch and have now got the burner lighting, visible through the small sight glass at the bottom of the fridge. Ive left it running on gas for over two hours but fridge/freezer aren't cooling down. Im suspecting possibly the jet and burner may require cleaning. Is the possible by removing the lower vent on the outside of the van or does the whole fridge have to be disconnected and removed to enable the items to be be cleaned. Thanks in advance, Ady

I've found that my fridge running on gas is more susceptible to the van not being level than when it's on electricity, to the point where I've now got a small spirit level in the van for when I'm parking it on the chocks. (Bonus, better sleep!) Might be worth double checking that first, before dismantling.

Cheers, i was aware of this from previous vans ive owned. Its currently parked on my level driveway and still no luck. Going to clean out jet and burner this evening and hopefully get a result.
