Temp gauge - have I gone mad?

Post by Ads1987 »

Sorry all this is probably a stupid question, I'm sure my temp gauge used to rest on right, now it starts from the left and goes right as the engine warms?

I disconnected the cluster completely just in case it may have been a random electrical fault but it stayed in the same place.

So now I'm not sure if I've just lost the plot and that was the way it always was? It just seems weird because the white bar is thin on the right and thick on the left so would have though cold was right?

Always been left to right on mine.
Left = cold
Right = hot (& flashing light)

Definitely starts cold on left & moves clockwise as it warms up.

It starts on the left. The thick white mark represents the warm up time on choke (should come off the fast idle cam when the gauge reaches the top of the white bit).
