Need hens teeth Electrolux fridge bit

Hi all,

We've got a T25 Moonraker which probably had a factory fridge at some point as the loom and flue vent are all still there. Fed up with using a coolbox though and bought a bargain (I think!) RM122 on ebay last week. Tried it out in the garage and works like a dream. Offered it up in the van and... doesn't fit! The flue 'T' at the top of the insulated combustion bit is in the right place, but about 3" or thereabout too low (hard to see when in position). Having a look at the manuals I think I need :

Does anyone have a clue where I might find the elusive 343995?! I get the feeling its the sort of thing that is quite plentiful in shed and garages and storerooms all over the land, just not on ebay!

As an alternative, I wondered about sourcing some flexible pipe, had anyone done similar? What did you use?

Just make sure that whatever metal pipe you use fits over the flue outlet and inside the tee piece.

Hi Dan,

Have been looking at similar stuff today at work, but worried about sizing and what connections to make. I've been reading through some fridge related posts over the last few nights and one said that a complicated run for the flue led to fumes in the camper, which is my priority (just ahead of cold Pinot!). I've not long come back in from playing with a bit of flexi copper tubing. Not ideal though, as hard to bend in shorter lengths.

Will have a Google for the stuff you've suggested - see if I can get it in smaller sizes.

Hi Marlin,

Thanks for that.. thats another reason I'm ditching my flexi copper as it used a 22-15mm reducer at the flue top, which means the flexi goes into a larger bore and gases could potentially escape if the seal isn't great.

Maybe I should invest in a flaring tool?!

Don't quote me on this, but if I recall correctly, the seal at each end of that extension pipe does not, and is not, "sealed". I think it just sits over the lower pipe and inside the lip of the upper pipe. I'm sure that's how mine is, (but it's a long while since I last had it out) and I get no fumes. I think the theory is the gasses are quite warm and so rise up naturally to the outside vent like a chimney effect.
