Tachometer Lowering when Lights on ?!?!

Big lumps of metals and spanners. Including servicing and fluids.

Tachometer Lowering when Lights on ?!?!

Post by bmouthboyo »

As the title really. I fitted this Rev counter a few years back I think just from a terminal on the coil and a negative (4 years ago so could be wrong).

Now I noticed this happens:

Anyone know what this might be?

Cheers :ok

I believe its an extra earth path opening up via the lights. My temp gauge goes up by 2mm with lights on, which I've guessed is the above reason. although I don't know anything about rev counters really.

Clean your earth connections might help?

OK I'll look into that. Would an earthing block direct to battery negative help? I can't remember how I wired this up now.
