Hello - Brighton based looking for advice!

Post by Brucie2 »

Hello all - have just bought my gorgeous T25 2.1 water cooled van (1987) -_Brucie2, (hence username!), and live in Brighton. Am a total novice so would welcome advice on an excellent local mechanic who can help keep me (and her) sane and on the road! Tips welcome.

Hello
Tip No 1
Get a Haynes manual, do the oil changes yourself. (twice yearly)

You're in luck

Barry from MALVERN VW on portslade basin
07734 005001

He has looked after both my vans for 6 years including
A full windows out restoration.

He's been working on VW vans for 50 + years.

Knows everything. Very well priced but is busy.

Barry has done my T25 for the last 5 years too. He's a chain smoking legend.

Like shorehambeach said, he knows these vans really well.
I had my MOT done last week and as I drove past him, he shouted 'that's not getting through' so I bet him 50p it would...

£300.50 later I collected my certificate :(

Here's fast and cheap which suits me well. He's also about 20ft from my house.
