Fitting a Rusty Lee bed to a T25

Post by spence731 »

Hi clubbers

Just bought a full size Rusty Lee RnR but I'm really struggling to fit it. Anyone got any useful tips? I can't find any good info on the web.

I know I need to raise the engine bay, but I don't know where the base needs to go, what angle it sits at, whether it needs to be bolted to the floor, how far up the wheel arches to drill for the supports.... in short I've got £300 of steel tubing in the back of my van doing nothing at the moment :?

Thanks in advance

Sorted. Rusty Lee called me and gave me some hints....

Clamp the frame in bed mode, offer it up and "fettle" until it fits. I had to drill new holes in the bracket as it sat a bit low, but it's in and it looks great.

Hi Spence, I just bought a full width rusty lee bed too. Have you any more fitting tips? Did you attach yours straight to the metal floor or did you put it on top of plywood flooring or something?
