Inverness garage recommendations??

Post by Bobee74 »

Hi New member here,

Just bought a 1986 1.9 petrol camper. Although I'll do my own servicing I wondered if anyone knew of a good garage in Inverness for the more complicated jobs?

Thanks

I'll ask on another forum for you. I'm on a Forum for our family car and there's an active member in Inverness. I'm much farther north so not much use I'm afraid...

No firm recommendations yet, except to try asking http://www.happyhighlandcampers.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for advice.

You can try Russell's Garage (01463 831169), about 10 miles west of Inverness....they do a lot of VeeDub work, very helpful when I visited them. Also, if Kinloss to the east isn't too far you can try Kinloss Garage (don't have the number with me at the moment). They have done a little bit of work on my van, the owner has a couple of T3's so knows what's what.
Cheers,
Mick.

I got a further reply for you from my other forum - Not a VW specialist, but worth a shot...

"The one person that comes out tops on recommendations for all vehicle general maintenance - non-Volvo stuff - is Jimmy Cruickshank here:

Unit 49 Carsgate Road
Inverness
IV3 8EX

Tel: 01463 718119

He used to work with Calterdon BMW Inverness and is very well thought of by locals who cherish their BMWs but don't want to pay gold bars to get their vehicles serviced. I am told for the best service speak to Jimmy himself, he is very helpful, very approachable and has a vast knowledge of all types of vehicles including err umm older vehicles from the 1980s."

Definitely agree. Russel is #1 T25 garage and couldn't be more helpful.
