Westfalia front swivel seats

At the weekend I'm going to have a go at servicing my front 2 Seats on my Westfalia California
They both swivel but they are so stiff it literally takes all my weight to force then to turn, surely they should the be easy to rotate?
I've read that i need to remove the seat completely and then loosen the screws, grease and then re fit does that sound about right and will I notice a difference by doing this?

Yes you do. Slide the seat off the rails and there are some bolts underneath. Remove these and grease the circular rail
