front brake discs 1.9 petrol van

hi everyone i need some front brake discs for my 1.9 petrol 1988 panel van,is it the 278mm discs i need or the 258mm.i am getting them from gsf,cheers dave :ok

I believe brickwerks have a checker on there site that allows you to see what yours is supposed to have. Bit cheeky when you arent getting the parts from them though! :lol:

1988 will definitely be later disc's (changed in 84 so well past the change over threshold)...I take it that it has the 'floating, single pot calipers' with the crescent shaped pads? which as I say are the later type.

Order new stub axle nuts as the old ones can often be quite battered from multiple 'peening' (knocking in the lock tab shoulder)

IMHO .. clean/examine bearings, they are often re-usable.
