Few Westfalia California questions!

Hi people,
Few questions about a Westfalia California if anyone can help?

1. Will the electric hook up connection on the van (the one that is under the flap) connect to any UK campsite hook up or will I need to get a adaptor to get it working?

2. The black box charger under the Rock and roll bed what does this actually do and how does it work?

3. I have read you can hook up a gas bbq to the LPG tank is that correct and how would I do this?

It works fine with a UK bought hook up lead.

1) Yup....standard UK hookup lead, no adapter needed.
2) The black box (affectionately called the BBB) is a dual outlet battery charger. When hooked up to the mains outlet, your BBB charger will happily buzz away charging both the leisure and starter batteries at the same time.
3)There is a BBQ take off point to the left (when you pull down the cover) all you need is a length of hose and this adapter:

You need to be aware that westy tank regulator pressure is 50mbar (UK regulators tend to be lower pressure 28 or 35mbar) however, most BBQ's seem to run just fine but be aware if the flames look too big you may need to regulate by the knob on the BBQ itself.
CVC link is just one source, most caravan supplies stock these adapters as well.
If the take off hasn't been used in a while, you might need to apply plenty of WD40 and work it free. Gas operating levers need positioning, just ask when you get there.

Ok thanks for that so will I need to get an extension cable for the electric hook up to go from the van to the power supply on a campsite?

You might be able to find a cheaper 'local' supplier. 90% of the time you will be fine with a shorter 15 meter size however occasionally you will be glad you went for the longer 25 meter size.

Of course this is for UK sites and the majority (but not all) European sites.
