Inner sills

Post by Wilbor79 »

Hey. I've got a 1982 t25 2000cc petrol camper that has failed its mot. Basically it needs inner and outer sills replacing. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find these at a good price? Is it a big job? I've been quoted £800 for parts and labour welded and sealed. Does this seem reasonable?
Thanks in advance

Depends where they get their panels from I suppose. You don't want to do it twice. I'd recommend:

Or ask MetalMick8y on this forum.

try vw heritage , for a genuine one, a front wing was about 35% cheaper than ANYWHERE. And before anyone says its not as good it was a bloody genuine VW one. Id say £800 is a good price for inner and outer sills (all in), if he is replacing the full sill he will have to change the trailing arm hangers and may end up changing the arms, as said i can see the price going north. :ok . adam

for 800 he is doing it for nothing or as has never done one before on a hiding to nothing , they are not easy and the inners are only the start of the job, sorry but save your mate some grief and have a look at some threads on here where they are done
mm
oh dont think any genuine inners left as i bought a few and found no more , schofields are good for the panals

thgis doing part withouit changing the inners but be aware that yours will need this on the inside as well , ok maybe not the slider runner but the rest yes
