Big lumps of metals and spanners. Including servicing and fluids.

new stainless steel exhaust - pro speed

Post by colouredFunk »

Hi

I'm interested getting a new stainless steel exhaust system fitted. Does anyone have any experience with Pro Speed, and how they compare to VW Speed shop systems?

Thanks

ProSpeed & LongLife etc. make custom exhausts to your specification. They are not VW specialists or know anything particular about T3's. Don't gamble, get the Speedshop exhaust.

Pro Speed are charging £600 including fitting, which is appealing... They also take credit card which is a necessity :) ...and have a courtesy car!!

Unless you could recommend someone to fit it near ISH to Dorset? ...

I've got a VW speedshop. Been on a year and love it. Buy it cost me £120 to get it fitted as most of studs sheared and needed drilling and tapping.

Ah you happy with the sound. I've been told they sound more like a golf?

The flat 4 engine sound is unmistakable with the Speedshop exhaust and the performance will be slightly improved as the exhaust pipes from the heads are formed to be all the same length, unlike most others. i.e. More balanced power over all the cylinders.

Blimey - that's cheap! I bet whoever quoted that felt they robbed themselves.

I know. It was open ended too. I had no idea how much it was going to cost!

Still no one seems to have a pro speed exhaust (which was the original question :P )

Can't help I'm afraid. Your ProSpeed franchise may appreciate this picture of the Speedshop exhaust, to copy though. Image
