We have just bought a 4.5 x4.5 metre Coleman event shelter and was wondering if any members have adapted one of these so it attaches to the figure of eight channel like a drive - away.
Coleman make a connecting panel and wondered if this could be adapted.

Re: Coleman event shelter
Well we own a Deluxe 4.5 X 4.5 and so looking at the pictures of the joining piece it is clear that it is way too short to use to connect to a van. You would certainly be better off modifying a normal side panel, however, just how that would work I don't know.

Re: Coleman event shelter
Trouble is Lottie, drive away awnings normally have a metre or more of attachment. This is because its difficult manoeuvring close to an awning. Worse still is the METAL frame poles that make up the outer edges of a Coleman event shelter, so easy to bend them or even damage the van trying to get that close.
I wish you every luck with it.
